Cape Town’s iconic, flat-top Table Mountain, centrepiece of the Cape Floral Kingdom, is home to more plant species than the entire United Kingdom, nearly 70% of which are found nowhere else in the world.
Central to the Cape Floral Kingdom, the smallest of the world's six kingdoms, is the fynbos biome, which boasts more species than even tropical rainforests, and includes some of the world’s most beautiful flora – not least South Africa’s national flower, the protea. And the best place to explore the fynbos is on Table Mountain.
